EXPERIMENTAL CRYPTOCURRENCY

Your browser.

A small experiment in cryptocurrency you choose to mine. Open a browser, press Start, and contribute proof of work on your terms.

A SMALL, CLEAR LOOP

Mining, with a switch.

The invitation miner has been tested against the native blockchain. Here is how a future test session works.

01 / JOIN

Bring a reward address.

Create a new testnet wallet with the native wallet app. Your invitation is tied to its public reward address. Keep your recovery words private.

02 / CHOOSE

Press Start. Stay in control.

One worker runs only after your click. Each run lasts at most two minutes or 8,192 nonces. Stop, hide the tab, close it, or reload to end that run.

03 / VERIFY

A block, checked by the chain.

The service checks candidates with Wasm, native hashing, and the node. A success is reported only after a matching canonical block is read back.

WHERE WE ARE

Tested software.
Public setup next.

MeepCoin has reached a controlled invitation testnet release. The latest rehearsal covered mining, node outages, invitation rotation, automatic expiry, and cold backup recovery.

Last qualified software checkpoint: October 12, 2026. This status is maintained manually.

VERIFIED

Browser mining and native block agreement

VERIFIED

Native wallet rewards, maturity, fees, and transfers

VERIFIED

Packaged Linux ARM64 runtime and cold restore

NEXT

Public backend hosting and HTTPS deployment rehearsal

SCOPED

At most eight invitations and one hour per experiment; native peers remain operator-private

BEFORE YOU JOIN

A few honest answers.

Can I mine right now?

Public mining is not open. The browser miner has worked in isolated, real-node rehearsals. A live invitation session will be announced only after backend deployment and its checks are complete. There is no mining code running on this information page.

Are these coins worth money?

These are experimental test coins with no promised monetary value or profitability. A test reset starts a new chain, and balances are not promised to survive. MeepCoin is not qualified for real-money use.

Does visiting this page use my CPU for mining?

No. This is a static project information site. The separate invitation miner requires an explicit Start click, uses CPU and electricity while running, and stops when its tab is hidden, closed, or reloaded. Returning to the tab does not restart mining.

Where are my wallet keys?

In your native wallet, under your control. The invitation miner uses your public reward address and does not hold your wallet keys. Never share recovery words, wallet passwords, spend keys, or invitation URLs in an issue or support message.

Which browsers and computers are supported?

The mining path is qualified on Windows Chrome and Linux Firefox. Mobile and Linux Chromium are not qualified. The packaged native operator runtime is Debian 13 ARM64; other platforms require a build and their own verification.

Is the cryptocurrency finished?

The controlled browser testnet software is packaged and rehearsed. Public infrastructure and an external human security audit remain outstanding. An alternate-chain storage abuse finding blocks permissionless native peer exposure, so the qualified testnet uses private operator peers.

How can I ask a question?

Use the project issue tracker for general, non-secret questions. Issues are public. Do not include wallet secrets, invitation URLs, private logs, or personal contact details.
